Would you like to become an Internet Service Provider? CyberLynk has developed a service program whereby you can establish yourself as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) with a minimal cash investment. Internet Service Providers (ISP's) typically require $10,000 - $30,000 minimum to establish themselves. Startup expenses include a connection to the Internet, the purchase of routers, servers, modems, software and phone lines. Monthly expenses run $1,000 - $3,000, depending on the services offered. Now, through the CyberLynk Virtual Internet Service Provider (VISP) program, you can establish yourself in this fast growing market with a minimal investment. CyberLynk's Network CyberLynk has established a high-speed network with multiple Points of Presence (POP's) in Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties. More locations are planed as the CyberLynk network grows. CyberLynk offers dedicated and dialup connections to the Internet, How It Works As mentioned, it is a costly investment to provide Internet services by establishing your own connection to the Internet and deploying your own equipment. The VISP program makes use of the network that CyberLynk has established, and the equipment that CyberLynk has deployed, to provide your customers with the same quality connections that CyberLynk customers already enjoy. Your customers dial into a local CyberLynk dial-up POP to establish their connection to the Internet. They think that they are connecting to your network, when in fact they are connecting to CyberLynk owned equipment. Once connected, they have full Internet access. All on-line services required to provide dial-up service to your customers are provided. This includes Web site, E-mail, FTP, and Usenet News. Your web, ftp, and mail server all reside on a CyberLynk virtual server. To the outside world this appears as a stand-alone server, giving you an autonomous presence on the Internet. Maintaining Your Servers As a VISP, you have the ability to change and maintain all services provided to your customers. Your Web site is maintained through ftp access to your web site directory. E-mail is maintained through the Web, giving you the ability to create, delete, change passwords, and set restrictions on E-mail box usage. Maintaining Dial-Up Accounts Dial-up accounts are also created and maintained through a Web interface. This interface allows you to create, modify, delete, and generate reports on your customer's connection history. All accounts are authenticated from a central database located at the CyberLynk Network Operations Center (NOC). This allows your customers to use any POP for which you are set up - from work they can log into the Milwaukee POP, and then from home they can log into the Racine POP. Customer Service & Support The CyberLynk VISP program provides all of the basic on-line services and equipment required to give you the ability to provide Internet services to your customers. CyberLynk provides direct support to VISP program participants only; you provide the customer support to the end users. This allows CyberLynk to concentrate on the network and equipment, while you concentrate on the dial-up customers. Your Customers These end users are your customers! We do not make any claim to them whatsoever. You bill your customers whatever you establish as your prices - we have no minimum or suggested retail price! Of course, the local market will play a role in determining your price to remain competitive. Markets CyberLynk does not provide exclusive territories for its VISP's. You are free to market your services in all markets for which you are set up. As CyberLynk adds new POP's in other cities, they become available for the VISP program!
